"Literature of Place" at Bluegrass Bioneers


This Saturday, October 22, I'll be giving an hour-long lecture at the Bluegrass Bioneers Conference, held at the University of Louisville. Information on "The Leading Sustainable Solutions Conference" is here. My presentation will be at 11:00 AM, location tba. I'll be talking about authors such as Gary Snyder, William Stafford, Barry Lopez, and Wendell Berry, and discussing ways of incorporating a "literature of place" into education, publications, and artist residencies. The whole conference is free!

Four of my poems from my BlazeVOX release Interstitial are within, as well as "Pioneer Graves at Lone Fir" which remains unpublished but for here! My gracious thanks to Roland Pease and Zoland Poetry, who provided me not only with the opportunity to publish but also with a fellowship to attend the Vermont Studio Center in July '10.
