Brautigan recovered
My first appearance in Octopus is my "Recovery Project" essay--completely informal--reviewing Richard Brautigan's Rommel Drives Deep into Egypt, an exceptional book of poetry that, if you can find it, is a great read. The essay is here. For my part, I found the book in a rundown used bookstore in Louisville, Kentucky.
